Overview

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Airship is a lighter-than-air (LTA) blimp operated by the NRL. It has a low airspeed, allowing it to collect high-resolution measurements. It is typically used to gather data near ground sites and research vessels by hovering over those locations. It has been used to measure aerosols, trace gases, and cloud properties.
